“Yoga continues to help me manage pain, but even more importantly, it reminds me that the body is resilient, adaptable, and worthy of care”
After moving to Åland in 2022 and reshaping my lifestyle around my diagnosis, yoga became more than a personal practice. It became something I wanted to share with others. For the past three years, I have been teaching yoga at Träningsverket, helping clients discover how movement, breath, and presence can support both body and mind.
Why I chose Yoga?
Living with scoliosis changed the rhythm of my life. Pain became something I had to negotiate with daily, until yoga quietly entered the conversation and changed everything. What began as a way to manage discomfort slowly became a path back to strength, balance, and trust in my own body.
Wanting to understand yoga beyond movement alone, I spent two years studying with a school in Rishikesh, often called the birthplace of yoga. There, I fell deeply in love with Kundalini and Pranayama practices. Breathwork, meditation, and mindful movement taught me that healing is not always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it arrives softly, one breath at a time.
